## AI Feature Summary

GEO Agent uses AI to help Shopify merchants audit product data for AI assistant visibility, benchmark whether product facts are likely to appear in buyer-intent recommendations, and draft product-description improvements. The app does not make automatic storefront changes. Merchants review generated recommendations and decide whether to apply them.

## Merchant Control

- Product-description fixes are draft recommendations until the merchant approves them in the embedded app.
- Benchmark results are informational and do not guarantee rankings, recommendations, traffic, or sales.
- Theme activation remains merchant-controlled through Shopify's theme editor and the GEO Schema JSON-LD app block.
- Billing, install, and app management stay inside Shopify OAuth, Admin, and Shopify Billing surfaces.

## AI Provider And Payload

GEO Agent uses OpenRouter/Kimi for benchmark and rewrite workflows. Prompts contain product names, product descriptions, merchant-selected product facts, and buyer-intent query text. The app does not send Shopify customer PII, order data, payment data, buyer account data, or customer support conversations to the AI provider.

## Data Storage

GEO Agent stores shop-scoped operational data needed to run the app: Shopify sessions, shop domain, plan state, granted-scope string, product audit results, benchmark results, product records, and generated fix drafts. `app/uninstalled` and `shop/redact` delete shop-scoped app data through the shared deletion helper.

## Safety And Review Guardrails

- No customer or order scopes are requested.
- No live customer PII should appear in screenshots, demo screencasts, or AI prompts.
- Do not describe AI output as guaranteed to improve rankings, recommendations, conversion, or sales.
- Do not imply the app reads theme files; the app intentionally avoids `read_themes`.
- Do not include off-platform payment language; app charges use Shopify Billing only.

GEO Agent uses AI for product-data audit recommendations, buyer-intent visibility benchmarks, and merchant-reviewed product-description draft fixes. AI output is advisory. The merchant must review and approve any product-description change before it is written to Shopify.

The app sends only product-level content and buyer-intent query text to OpenRouter/Kimi. It does not request customer or order scopes and does not send Shopify customer PII, order data, payment data, or buyer account data to the AI provider.

Benchmark scores and recommendations are framed as informational product-data readiness signals, not guaranteed search rankings, AI recommendations, sales, or traffic lift. Install, billing, and app management stay inside Shopify-owned OAuth, Admin, and Shopify Billing flows.
